With prayerful dependence on God, the Parent-Teacher Fellowship (PTF) exists to improve and enhance the relationship between Mariners Christian School families and the school overall. PTF supports our faculty and staff in order to enrich the children’s education, providing parents with the opportunity to participate in daily school life, as well as special events and projects that contribute to the growth and success of our school.
Parents are automatically a member of PTF and an important part of the school program. Involvement in PTF provides a wonderful opportunity to build relationships within the school community and to teach children the importance of serving others. Together, parents make MCS a unique place for our children to grow in Christ.
There are so many ways to be involved at MCS. For more information about PTF contact Sue Celek, PTF Liaison, at email@example.com.
PTF Volunteer Interest Form 2019-20: The PTF Volunteer Interest Form is the place to find many ways to get involved in your child’s classroom or grade level, or to work alongside other amazing MCS parents on a single event or activity. Look for a PTF Newsletter with all the details at the beginning of the school year.
PTF Fundraising: In addition to volunteering, PTF is committed to raising funds to sponsor MCS family events and support school wide endeavors. PTF partners hand in hand with administration to realize MCS goals, and to ensure that students and teachers are provided with exceptional resources.
Spirit Rock: To promote school spirit and welcome MCS families in morning carpool, the Spirit Rock is available for MCS families to recognize students with special messages from September-June. The Spirit Rock link, calendar, and guidelines are published at the start of each school year through eNews.
Spirit Wear: Show your Lion Pride by purchasing clothing and gear showcasing our school logo and colors. Watch the weekly eNews for notices about upcoming campus Spirit Wear Sale Days. For questions, please email MCSspiritwear@yahoo.com.
Teacher Blessing Fund: The goal of the Parent Teacher Fellowship Blessing Fund is to give parents an opportunity to show our collective appreciation to MCS teachers, aides, and specialists, and bless them with a monetary “group gift” that is both generous and equally distributed at the end of the year. The Blessing Fund is open for parent contributions in conjunction with Staff Appreciation Week in the spring, and presented to the faculty during June Character Awards.
