MCS Takes 1st, 2nd, & 3rd at the AppJam+ Finale

On the evening of December 6th, MCS students presented their mobile apps at the AppJam+ Fall 2017 Showcase Finale held at UCI, the culmination of our after school Mobile GameApp Creation class offered to 5th-8th students. During the 10-week class, our students were mentored by UC Irvine and Cal State Fullerton computer science and engineering students and supported by MCS Director of Technology and Maker Education Mrs. Rodriguez.

We are excited to report that MCS students swept 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place and also the overall poster design competition!

Thank you also to Mrs. Rodriguez for her leadership and passion in the area of technology, and for providing this opportunity to our students! Thank you also to the many parents and staff members who came out to support our team! Other Orange County schools in attendance were Harbor Day, St. Margaret’s Episcopal School, Alamitos Intermediate – Boys & Girls Club of Garden Grove.
