Mariners Christian School 's middle school offers a broad range of educational experiences that appeal to students' varied interests. A competitive athletics program, performing arts, student leadership, ministry opportunities, and more are part of a program that combines rigorous academics with intentional spiritual development. Our teachers' primary focus is to prepare students for success in public or private high schools while equipping them with a biblical worldview that will help them face the challenges of young adulthood.
Some of the middle school's unique features include the following:
- Students develop their personal faith in Jesus Christ through weekly chapels with dynamic guest speakers and worship led by their peers who make up the Worship Band, classes in Christian apologetics and the Bible, and opportunities to put faith into action through service and local outreach projects.
- Personal development occurs through overnight field trips to Catalina Island with an emphasis in marine biology, Oaks Leadership Camp with an emphasis in teamwork and leadership, and Washington, D.C., with an emphasis in American history.
- Students build leadership skills through Student Council, chapel presentations, science fair, high school discussion, and class projects.
- Social skills and solid peer relationships develop through special events planned by student council, fun grade level outings, and on-campus socials.
This is just a glimpse into Mariners Christian School's middle school, an extraordinary program that maintains high academic standards in an evangelical Christian environment. We welcome your interest and involvement!
