8. Where do Mariners Christian School students attend high school?

Graduates from Mariners Christian School typically attend any of a number of local public high schools in Orange County; some students enroll in private Christian high schools such as Mater Dei, Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, and Brethren. In order to track the success of our graduates in high school, we conduct a bi-annual survey of all alumni and utilize that data to improve academics, programs, and spiritual development of current students. It is exciting to see how well our graduates are doing in high school and college – not only are they performing well in academics and extra-curricular areas, but they are also continuing to grow in their commitment to Christ.

Here are a few fun facts about our alumni:

  • Mariners Alumni have been accepted to some of the top colleges and universities in the country, including Harvard, Yale, and the United States Naval Academy
  • The average GPA of a Mariners alumni high school senior is 3.8 (based on 2005 survey).
  • 92% maintain their involvement in church and/or youth groups during their high school years (based on 2005 survey)
